THE GOODNESS OF GOD!!!
God’s goodness is immeasurable…………………..
His infinitely generous attitude toward us is more than we can imagine. God longs to bring joy and blessing to all His creatures. ‘’For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’’ Jeremiah 29:11
God proclaimed Himself as; “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness” Exodus 34:6
Sometimes in our lives, in trying moments, we all have pains and sorrows. When things do not work as planned, we lament and say ‘WHY ME’ thinking our world and future are bleak and we feel the end of our dreams has come.
Often our minds do not reflect on the goodness of God around us in family, friends, past opportunities, past favors, and even the beautiful world and good nature around us. Because we get so pained and far gone with our hurts in temporary present situations, we lament and complain and sometimes curse God and humanity; swearing and denying the goodness of God evident in our lives. We forget one of the most important blessings from God: Our breath. And fail to give thanks as we should to God for His goodness towards us.
Life itself is a stage of different turns, some pleasant moments and other times eventful and unpleasant moments. In it all, the goodness of God shows up in our lives every day; at our low moments and high moments, to remind us of His love for us and presence with us.
Tough times help us become stronger, trusting in God’s mercies and goodness, while good times make us reflect on God’s love and goodness with thanksgiving. Whichever way we look at it, life without God’s goodness would have been meaningless and worse. For we are nothing without GOD
The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9.
We are the handwork of God; His goodness is always in and around us.
